This is a trip for those of you that need a boost after the hibernation season. March is when spring awakes in this corner of Spain, can be very sunny, perfect for recharging the sun batteries plus, it has good swell averages. The sea temperature is average 15.8°C...a relaxing time to visit if you want to avoid big crowds. We will have up to 9 surf sessions, surf theory, a chance to visit amazing cultural sites & social nights!...
Schedule
(Subject to changes in line with swell)
DAY 1
FRIDAY. We will start this trip from our collection point in Seville airport (Aeropuerto de Sevilla SVQ).
We will be there at 10:35h. in time for the arrival from Edinburgh of flight number FR 6760.
You are free to arrive by different means and be collected at the same time. Alternatively we could collect you from Jerez Airport Train Station at 12h.
We will get to our accommodation, eat some lunch and chill for a bit before our first warm up surf session.
After being back at the accommodation for showers & chilling we can head out for some food & social in Conil Town/ El Palmar.
DAY 2
SATURDAY, morning surf session.
Afternoon surf session.
We will finish the day with sunset contemplation and drinks.
Free time in the evening.
DAY 3
SUNDAY, We have planned a morning & afternoon surf sessions at a choice of spots
DAY 4
MONDAY, morning and afternoon surf sessions at a choice of spots.
After, we will travel to the local white cliff top village of Vejer de la Frontera for a walk , viewing of the sunset from the lovely town & enjoy dinner at a lovely, El Califa restaurant (optional).
DAY 5
TUESDAY, Surf session in the morning or visit to Montenmedio Open Air Museum.
Free time in the evening.
DAY 6
WEDNESDAY, Free day for people to chill, plan your own adventures, sunbathe...or just explore the local area.
DAY 7
THURSDAY, Morning lay day followed by afternoon surf session and will finish the day with sunset drinks.
DAY 8
FRIDAY, Leave for Sevilla in the morning, on time for departure on flight to Edinburgh FR6761 at 13:15h.
Accommodation
A lovely atrium style villa in a quiet upmarket area near Conil de la Frontera.
The spacious accommodation has 4 twin rooms, garden, BBQ and pool. Linen, towels, housekeeping & high speed WIFI.
Rooms shared only with one other person (unless you want to share with friends or partners we would have rooms shared between people of same sex).
If you prefer to have a room for yourself, this could be arranged at extra cost, however we recommend sharing, as it is a fun way to meet people and make your holiday much more affordable!
The villa has third party liability insurance.
ACCOMMODATION:
Coaching
We tailor our coaching to your ability and level.
Our experienced team of instructors, have Surf Lifesaving GB (SLSGB) lifeguard, International Surfing Association (ISA) or Academy of Surf Instructor (ASI) Surf and/or SUP qualifications, and full disclosures.. We have insurance for all the water sports we teach.
As well as beach coaching and training we provide you with theory classes and video analysis.
Don’t worry if you are just starting, we will look for the best location for your level, that’s why we keep our ratio of instructors to students small, we really want you to have a more personalised coaching experience!
Food
*Delia will be cooking wholesome vegetarian breakfast and lunches included in the price.
In the morning expect porridge, granola, yogurt, fruit salads, pancakes, scrambled eggs, dips & smoothies…that sort of thing…healthy and tasty, nutritionally dense start of the day…the best fuel for the surfing ahead. Often, depending on surf conditions for the day, lunch will be on the go.
Packed lunches will consist of sandwiches, dip platters, salad boxes etc.
* This is not included on Winter Summer and Spring Swell Trips. It can be added for an extra cost.
At dinner time, there will be the option to eat out some days, or at the accommodation.
The offer of restaurants is wide and we’ll be able to give you recommendations. Dinners are not included in the trip price, we would recommend to allow from around €15 min. per night to eat out.
IMPORTANT Please, let us know if you are allergic to any foods or you have a particular diet requirement.
Remember!
You will need to get your own travel & health insurance!
The weather can play up and we are unable to guarantee waves & sun. We have a handful of surf alternative sports & activities but don’t forget to pack sun protection, shades and a jumper!
Remember to let us know about any medical conditions prior to your trip.
Payment of the deposit is necessary to book your space, but we don’t recommend buying your flight until we have the numbers for a group and give you the go ahead.
